FROM FIGHT PROMOTION LEGEND FIGHTING CHAMPIONSHIP (WWW.LEGENDFC.COM):

A veteran of both M-1 and Korea’s Spirit MC, Nam’s first exposure to MMA came while he was serving in the Korean army, when some fellow recruits showed him fight videos from Japan’s Pride FC. After completing his military service, Nam joined Korean Top Team, making his pro MMA debut in 2005. His aggressive fighting style and ability to intimidate opponents both in and out of the ring quickly made him a fan favorite, and he was recruited to join the second season of Korean MMA reality show “Super Korean.” From there Nam went on an 8-fight win streak in Spirit MC, dominating all opposition and ultimately taking the welterweight championship. MMA features prominently even in his academic credentials: he holds a bachelor’s degree in physical education, with a major in combative martial arts.
