Topuria really said "**** the mouthguard, I'm knocking your tooth out." I know we literally saw Volkanovski get knocked out last year, but this was different. It was with a full camp, at 45, and Volk got completely folded with a single punch. I really hope that this isn't the start of Volkanovski's "Liddell Arc," but hats off to Topuria for being Georgia's first UFC champion (and Spain's), and for breathing some new life into featherweight. I'm curious to see how long he can stay on top and keep that 0 in tact.

Why is it that whenever Dan Ige fights in the first quarter of the year, he either gets a big win or a brutal KO? 2020 was Mirsad Bektic, 2021 was Gavin Tucker, last year was Damon Jackson, and Andre Fili felt the touch of death this year. That follow-up looked like it had so much malice behind it. He did not need to throw that. Dan Ige may not ever be anything more than a gatekeeper, but if we can get a highlight like this once a year, I'm cool with that.

RIP Walker's nose. Ankalaev saved the hardest punch in this life to crush Johnny Walker's nose. Rematch Ankalaev is turning up to be one of the most dangerous mythical fighters of the modern era. Paul Craig and Jan Blachowicz better hope they don't get put up against Ankalaev again if the Walker and Cutelaba fights are anything to go by. Also, I love how some people tried to call this an early stoppage.
